Helping First Nations women turn business ideas into thriving enterprises.
Through culturally safe workshops, mentoring, and practical business support, the Empower Her Program equips Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women with the skills, confidence, and networks needed for long-term business success.
The Empower Her Journey Program is delivered by Aboriginal businesswomen Jess Morris (Wiradjuri & Wailwan) and Kat Henaway (Meriam & Mua, Torres Strait). With extensive experience in business development, mentoring, and grant writing, Jess and Kat are passionate about supporting First Nations women to create economic independence through micro-enterprise development.
The progam provides hands-on guidance from idea to launch, including:
The program will be delivered in 13 locations across NSW:

The program will be delivered over the course of 2025 and 2026.
We’ve designed a program that brings together workshops, mentoring, business development, and networking into one comprehensive and culturally safe journey to support First Nations women to start and grow their own businesses.

By bringing all these elements together, we ensure that women leave the Empower Her Program with the skills, confidence, networks, and resources they need for long-term success—not just for themselves, but for their families and communities too.
