Caseworker Support Program (CSP)
The Casework Support Program is delivered in partnership with Youth Justice (YJ). Caseworkers work closely with Youth Justice, the young person, and their family to support the young person in achieving their goals and building the best possible future.
The program is committed to supporting each young person’s wellbeing and helping them access the opportunities, resources, and services they need, while also supporting their Youth Justice Case Plan or Youth Justice Conference (YJC) Outcome Plan.
The program can assist with:
- Connecting young people to their culture
- Providing mentoring and ongoing support
- Building job readiness skills
- Obtaining identification documents or a driver’s licence to support independence
- Assisting with Centrelink applications
- Supporting enrolment in school, alternative education, or TAFE
- Encouraging participation in recreation and activities that promote a positive lifestyle
- Assisting with housing-related processes and support
- Connecting young people with counselling and other appropriate support services
- Supporting young people who are exiting custody
How long is the program?
The program runs for up to 12 weeks, providing regular support, guidance, and check-ins throughout the journey.

Young people who feel they could benefit from this additional support are encouraged to speak with their Youth Justice Caseworker or Convenor. They can help arrange an intake meeting with the service operating in their area.
