Old Ways Strong Ways

The Old Ways Strong Ways Program is a culturally grounded initiative delivered by Strong Spirit Services Ltd, designed to support Aboriginal Elders across the Port Macquarie Hastings region to stay connected to culture, community, and wellbeing.

At its core, Old Ways Strong Ways is about strengthening connection—connection to culture, to each other, and to self. The program will offer a series of culturally safe and inclusive activities shaped by community priorities and guided by respect for cultural knowledge and lived experience.

Participants will have opportunities to engage in:

• Cultural activities and knowledge sharing 
• Social connection and yarning spaces 
• Wellbeing-focused experiences that support holistic health 
• Community gatherings that strengthen relationships and belonging 

This program reflects Strong Spirit’s commitment to delivering services that are Aboriginal-led, strengths-based, and grounded in cultural integrity. By creating safe spaces for Elders to come together, Old Ways Strong Ways supports ongoing cultural continuity, resilience, and community wellbeing.
